Even after taking the batteries out, the screen is vaguely on. It's almost like a ghost light , the logo's faintly showing and there's a line through it. After a while, the logo goes away, but there are a bunch of lines running through it. This is the second GE A730 I've had in three months. Is this specific camera just really sucky?

Lets review. Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Sigma, and Sony don't make washers and dryers and refrigerators and microwave ovens and stoves and dishwashers. GE does. The companies listed do, however make cameras and other electronics. GE buys cameras from the low bidder and has their logo stuck on them. Buy your appliances from GE, your cameras from Sony, Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Pentax or Sigma.
