This depends on the geographical location. Areas where high sulphur content is airborn can actually create acid rains which have a very distinct social and environmental impacts.

Rain water could be used to flush toilets, mop floors, water indoor plants just to name a few. But even then it would need to be filtered as each drop arrives with its very own dust particle.

What would you use it for in a commercial building????

I had an aunt who collected the rainwater from her roof gutters and used it to wash her hair because it was "soft" water.
Other than that I can't think of a practical use for rainwater.
I'm sure not going to drink it after it hits the roof, maybe it could be used in the buildings sanitary system.
