Viva the freedom !! It's ridiculous for lawmakers to pull this crud. Bridges, buildings, in most cases, if a terrorist wants to blow them up, they'd get on the web and pull up the schematic, most of them can be found.

What's next, sorry no pic's of the statue of liberty, the Washington monument ?

Ugh, wasting taxpayers money, and lawmakers time.

"they can have my camera when they pry it from my cold, dead hands"

It depends on which location you are in.In some countries,it is very risky near military installations but you may never know that the pix you took of a house is just a house or a secret installation until it is too late.Or the guy you photographed may be a street sweeper until s/he is an undercover agent. Some people don't want people/strangers to take a photograph of their kids cos there are pedophiles around and so on and the last thing a parent wants is his child's face plastered in some sicko's website.I know it sounds intimidating but nowadays with the way the world is or people are,one can't take chances and it's better to be safe than sorry.I cringe at the thought of being tortured without the chance of having a fair trial!

Doesn't surprise me.

I think we are in a downward spiral politically. Politicians will do anything to appease the screaming minority, even at the price of the majority wants/needs.
