The context of Gal 1:8 is if they are teaching contrary to the GOSPEL of the KINGDOM.
The Revelation is the REVEALING of HOW EVENTS in the next 2 millenia from when it was written (95-96 ad) would bring that KINGDOM to pass. And then goes on to describe a few events thereafter.

Yes and yes. The word translated as angel actually means messenger. God used angels throughout the Bible to convey messages. What Paul is saying in Galatians is that the gospel message is true. If anyone tells you something different-even an angel or what appears to be one- do not believe it. The person or angel who gives out a false gospel will be condemned.
Revelation is a strange book. Some of it is highly symbolic-but what those symbols represent should always be taken literally. Taking a course in hermeneutics ( how to interpret the Bible) will help you sort through the Bible. Its not that hard, but if you do not have a system of study-you will get confused. I recommend a "dispensational" approach. That method seems to have a much better grasp.

The following verses are a prophetic reference to the prophet Mohammed and Islam...they "have another Gospel," that is, they teach a different Jesus Christ...to a Muslim, Jesus Christ did not die on the cross, did not die for men's sins for all those who believe on him...and was not the son of God, or God made flesh...nor do they believe in the Holy Spirit...and they claim to have received their revelations from an angel!
Ga 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
EBD NTB SCO TTT
Ga 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
EBD NTB TTT
Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
EBD NTB TTT
Ga 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
When it comes to the Book of Revelations, you must remember that much of it is allegorical. Every generation has expected those things to unfold in their time, and at some point, many said they had unfolded. There are many preterists who believe the prophecies of the Book of Revelations have already been fulfilled.
But that is not the same as preaching a different Gospel. It is simply a disagreement over whether those things have happened or have yet to happen.

Anws, is yes you should believe all of Revelation. Revelation was a vision from God to John. It is symbolic for many things not all literal.
secondly, Gal 1:8 is really a warning for Religions like Islam, where Mohammad encounters an angel, and like Mormons who also state an intervention with an angel to provide spiritual laws, and explanation on God.
The apostles may have said that because there were people already spreading false teaching about Jesus even back then. But it also had a application for us today.

You notice that this famous quote from the Aposle Paul was REPEATED so as to emphsis the importance of the message. This scripture refers to the introduction of dogma to the body of church teachings that are NOT part of Gods message to man. Even If it is an angel from heaven telling you to worship God in any other way save that introduced by Peter, Paul, and the Christ & apostles don't believe it and that angel is accured. Of course a real angel won't do such a thing, but many have claimed devine inspiration in this way.
How about Mohammed? He claimed that the angel Gabriel came done and gave him what eventually became the Koran/Quaran. Also, the book of Mormon claims its source as the archangel Maroni. (I think Joseph Smith could have made up a better, less silly sounding name for his angel)
Revelations? The Book is a message of Prohecy for the most part aimed at christians of the first century.
(you won't get this anywhere else)
Example: The great city descibed in Revolations is the City of Rome. It is the whore that sat on seven hills, which is a famous fact (though San Francisco also can clain that distinction)
Rev. goes on to describe the beast which born striking resemblance to the goddess Roma, worshipped throughout the Roman Empire and was a device to perpetyate loyalty to Rome. The fire that destroy that city, as described by sailors from afar, and all the earth morned after, was a key signal to christians that had the book that the destruction of Jerusalem, (Rev talks about the great siege soon after) was soon to transpire and to get out of Judea...NOW. The apostle John, contrary to popular historical opinion, wrote Revelations sometime just before c.64 BC.
The pseudoscience of Numerology indicates (also a well know fact) the the number 666 represents the Emperor Nero. For he was the beast that started the real persequtions aganst the Jews and Chritians in ernest. This also comes from revelations.
These reson we get secular, non-believing scholars that date this boof to about 90 AD (thus nessisaruly making the Apostle Johe at least 110 year old and highly umlikely circumstance) is that they don't believe in prophecy, God, Jesus or any thing. If you think they would consider prophecy as a real thing? No way.

Paul was so sure in his teachings, that he says if anyone or even an agel from heaven comes down & preach unto us anything different that what the Apostles preached, let that person or angel be cursed. Now concerning Revelation, The Bride will only understand what the Book of Revelation is talking about, Many tries to understand it without the teacher(which is the Holy Ghost) In my 37 yrs as a Christian I find it very simple to understand & to put it in it's correct order, So we are to Understand the Book of Revelation by the Holy Ghost revealing it unto us, The Book of Revelation is written not in order of events, You have to know what event takes place first, such as the 7 seals, That 7th seal when it is open brings Christ off the mercy seat, meaning grace age is over, Yet that 6th seal pertains to the great tribulation, therefore the fullfillment of the seals, we see that the 7th seal will be open before the 6th seal comes into effect. So the 7th seal happens before the 6th seal happens.

Let's take a look at this in context:
Galatians 1:6-8 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
No Other Gospel
6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
AND
Revelation 1:1-3 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

Revelation 1
Prologue
1The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Angels have been see throughout Scripture
Galatians is talking about false teachings Revelation is talking about something directly from God They are 2 different things.
I am somewhat confused by what you are asking here?

Excellent reasoning Chris!
To go along with what he wrote... read Galatians in context:
"I marvel that YOU are being so quickly removed from the One who called YOU with Christ’s undeserved kindness over to another sort of good news. 7 But it is not another; only there are certain ones who are causing YOU trouble and wanting to pervert the good news about the Christ. 8 However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to YOU as good news something beyond what we declared to YOU as good news, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said above, I also now say again, Whoever it is that is declaring to YOU as good news something beyond what YOU accepted, let him be accursed."
Those mentioned were LEAVING the good news of Christ . Paul was saying if anyone is teaching something unscriptural- even if it was one of the disciples or an angel, not to listen because it would be lies being taught.
Revelation 1:1 says simply: "A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,"
If you're being bothered by the fact the message was given by an angel, then you'd have to disregard a LOT from the Bible because angels were often used as messengers.
Yes, you should believe Revelation. We are fulfilling many of the prophecies found therein now-a-days... and we have many more blessings to look forward to. (please see Rev. 21:3, 4)

The point in Galatians seems to be 'Gospels that are incompatible with the one I [Paul] taught you.' The Early Church, as well as Martin Luther, often found the book of Revelation rather dubious, perhaps because of the 'pagan symbolism.' Ironically, this book is incredibly popular with the Christian Right Wing, despite Luther's condemnation of it; but then, he also condemned the Baptists, ironically enough!
