so i am in high school and every time i want to have a party at my house me mom says no? but my brother can come home from college and have partys and my mom dont care its gay. if i ask ya but no drinking if he ask she dont care if its drinking?¿

I had the same problem but mine was worse. My brother got to play an instrument, I didn't, he got to go to dances, I didn't, He had his college paid for I didn't, so if it is only a party consider yourself lucky.

Because you're younger and a GIRL. I've seen mothers trust their boys a lot more than their girls... it's about being over protective and afraid that something could happen to you easier than it would your brother. This may or may not get better as you get older, but I would suspect you won't be allowed to have parties at the house until you're out of school/over 18.

Because he is older and it's your mother's house. If she's not letting you have a party there is a reason for it. And, by the way your writing, you can't get your thoughts across to us, how do you think your mother feels. Act more maturly and like an adult and maybe eventually she will trust you enough to let you have a small party. But remember, it's not your house, it's hers. She just allows you to reside there.

i have no idea why parents have these double standards. perhaps give her moe details about the party you would like to have, and that you wil be very resposble if not tell em you'll just have to party elsewhere with teenage drinking and orgys.

because she feel insecure with you. hes older and hes a guy.. your the baby and your a girl. its some weird thing but its the same with me too. which is why i hate my mom sometimes. just let her see that yu can be a big girl. without her babying yu.
