I think he messed up. How can we respect God if he can't get this creation right?

Not at all! God delights in all his creations! He loves us dearly. It's the choices we make that he doesn't delight in. Let me explain true love and free will. When you truly love someone, you want them to truly love you. Not becaue you MADE it happen, but because they CHOOSE to love you out of their OWN desire, not yours. anyone who loves you because you have hypnotized them or have manitpulate them in some other way... that isn't real love. And that is exactly WHY God gave us free will. He wants to know the love we have for Him is REAL. He doens't want a bunch of puppets on a string. He wants his creations to truly love Him. He wants a true relationsip. not a bunch of fake ones. it's the difference between a real rose and a paper rose. (Ok, too much marie osmond singing paper roses! LOL!) Believe me there is a HUGE difference! He wants the real deal! As for disappointment when is the last time you saw a sane parent go "YAY my kid is SMOKING and DRINKIN! and HOT Dog my baby girl is pregnant AND on drugs! If If we are lucky she'll get ARRESTED! We'll throw a party and invite grandma to town! Oh the neighbors will be so jealous!" I didn't think so. Any sane parent would be disappointed by the actions but still loving their child to their very core beings.

It is very possible he is very delighted. Many throught this 3rd rock from the sun are doing Gods will. In fact he is very proud of them because they are proving Satan a liar.

God does not want anyone to perish, but at the same time he is protecting the ones that also love him.

He is so disappointed He died for it.

I do not think that He is disappointed more than His love for it. People sometimes forget that in the death and resurrection of Jesus, God's Plan is to "restore all things", and that includes His ENTIRE creation.

God Bless!
