Waste of time?...NO, NASCAR is never a waste of my time. Did it suck?...Maybe! It certainly wasn't the best season they've ever had. To many transitions with the COT---no consistency. Hopefully next year will be better. At least they will be using the same kind of car for every race.

The worst NASCAR race is far superior to mowing the lawn!
The problems this year are: COT, TV coverage focusing on a few big name drivers and the new bread of FANBOYS that can’t appreciate a single race without considering the chase.
Think about what an amazing year Clint Bowyer has had. What about Kyle Petty starting 36th and finishing 3rd in the Coca-Cola 600. The drama with Jr and DEI engines blowing up. Not a great year but any year with NASCAR is a good year!

Too many inconsistencies. Last year Dodge went from the intrepid to the charger, ford went to the fusion. This year the teams were working the COT and COY cars. Next year I think will be better because they can focus on one style of car. Of course the off season will be interesting to read about what is going on for 2008.

Overall, this season has just been ok for me. I went to some good races this year and saw Casey Mears get his breakthrough Cup win, which was cool. However, it has definitely not the best season in the world, especially since my driver has had a bad year. Of course, it doesn't help that I am not the biggest Hendrick fan in the world. Plus the Chase has been kind of boring since it basically came down to the 'Jimmie & Jeff' show. I am ready for this season to be over and done with and I am hoping that '08 will be better with less dominance from Hendrick but who knows what will happen next year.

nicely multiple issues are a waste of potential, yet there are some issues nascar can say to look after themselves. The activities are a million adventure in a million city, lots of the time the three sequence are in an analogous city each week. So different activities you have communities in 30 or so cities and different than soccer, they play greater video games. The gasoline utilization of the team is bigger than the 40ish communities in the three nascar sequence, and the gasoline utilization to get to mlb, nfl, nba or nhl venues is cumulatively bigger than nascar accounting for multi venue, multi video games. the sport which could consume the main potential could be mlb, then nhl, nba, nfl and then nascar. nhl is bigger than nba by way of fact the gap between venues is larger with greater communities in canada, so greater air return and forth. tennis and golf are single venue/week activities so as that they had be the suited with gasoline.

Amen! I've been following it for years and this has to have been the worst season yet. Friends don't even enjoy going to the tracks anymore....all the fun's been taken out of the sport. Before you'd see a number of different drivers at the front. On TV all they do is talk about the same drivers over & over again.

This season has been a very inconsistant season.Rules have changed in mid season that were "for the good of racing".The politics within the sport have been such that there has been more talk of who's cheating or which team so-n-so is going to that the overall season has been a loser.
Of the 35 races run I think there may be a half dozen that kept my intrest the full event.
Waste-Lost-Boring take your pick to describe the season.
But yes I agree with 'em.

For me Nascar has NOT been a waste of time. If you love Nascar as much as do and alot of race fans in this forum Nascar will never get boring.

This year has been a transition year. The COT is very frustration to watch. The off track melodrama seems to have taken much of the story line away from the sport this year.
No it isn't a waste of time. A lot can be learned by watching, reading and following up what has been said.
Since safety has been the main reason for the COT changes much of the racing drama has been lost. Oh well, there is always next year.

ME! The car of tommorrow has been a disaster. It's slow and handles like crap, and um... where can I buy one? Nascar is supposed to be stock car racing! The only way Brian France could mess it up worse would be rotary engines - oh no, now the idea's on the table, that and removing the roof.
