so, here's my question:

How many of the things your mind is aware of (atomic bombs exploding, the surface of Mars, etc.) have you actually personally experienced? I am guessing about 1 in 1000.

Awareness includes the concientious thought about that event of thing, right? So, if that is correct then I think that number is much lower because most people can only "be aware" of just so much at one time.

Personal experience of something is that to where you have actually been. I do not know of to many that have been to the surface of the Moon let alone Mars.

I may be typing on this computer but I am also "aware" that I have to get off my butt soon and get ready to go to work and in that "awareness" I know what is invloved in that-like shave, shower dress, drive there and so on. I am also "aware" that God has given me the blessing of that job so that He can bless the work of my hands and that I have a way to do business and pay for my place and groceries and such. In THAT "awareness" i lift a voice to Him and thank Him for His goodness to me and the health that I have a the friends and family I know and so on.

Hmm, that was a pretty good question. Thanks for helping me to be "aware" of the many things God has done for me and placed in my life!

God Bless!

Your guess is probably accurate if you are counting the things most of us are only aware of enough to label. The truth is most of us don't know what an ant is. We know it's name we know what they look like but we have never really looked at an ant in wonder without labeling and classifying it. Transforming the amazing energetic point of consciousness into a word in our head "ant" so we never really encounter the wonder of it again is our habit. A habit that we are unaware we have. Most people live most of their lives without really being fully aware of anything, even those things they think they love.

Not many.

Since the first poster thought it was appropriate to proselytyze, I'd like share with you the Gospel of Count Chocula. He is the only way you can have eternal life.

It's not a question of the mind, but one of the heart.
