Brown to Blonde?

hi, i've died my hair blonde from a brown i used a light blonde then a ash it hasnt really made my hair any lighter apart from my roots which are now ginger what shall i do?

as a hairdresser, if you do it yourself, you need to lighten it level by level. you put the color on the ends up to the roots and then after 15 minutes, apply it on the roots....

You can buy a color stripper at any beauty supply store if you want to get rid of the ginger color, just follow the instructions. Or better yet, the people who work at the supply store could probably help you figure out what to do. If your hair is a fairly dark shade of brown, I suggest you let a professional dye it for you. I don't think your going to be happy with the results if you continue to try to do it yourself. Blond is a tricky color if your hair is naturally dark. Be careful.

I'm not an expert or hair dye or anything but I've read that to transform from brown to blonde you first have to go a reddy colour to add something (meh.. dunno what) back to your hair.

I'd probably suggest getting it done proffesionally as you don't want any accidents and it'd probably look a whole lot better. ^_^

you need to take the colour out of yer hair before you dye it
or you cuold come out with a random colour

so i suggest taking the colour out
with a non-bleach substance
and then dye it
