There are no pictures of Him or descriptions in the Bible as that would have invariably led to people worshipping the image in direct contradiction to the first commandment.

Boy do people have wrong knowledge.
We have early fragments of the gospel of John dated at 68 AD.
The other gospels were already written by then. That means that they were written years not decades after the death of Jesus. We have no concept of distortions of the facts as Thomas took the gospel of Mark to India with him.
The shroud of Turin is always a possible option for a true image of Jesus in that it seems to be an early date by research accounts.

Christ does not appear before ordinary human beings like us. But Televangelists get His frequent visits. You can ask one of them. Perhaps they may be of help to you.
A Tamilnadu ( a State in India) Evangelist quite often describes His frequent visits to him. One day I put a question to him through a magazine of the appearance of Jesus Christ; how tall he was; what complexion he had; in what language he talked; did anyone else see Him ast that point and the dress he was wearing. I got blasted with unchristian words in return and I learnt a few new words never heard of in my life from my true Christian brethren.

I asked Jesus in prayer how he looked like when he walked the earth. Later a person was especially gifted to draw Jesus when 'Praise & Worship' songs were listened to. God told told him in his spirit to draw Jesus. The first attempt wasn't any good. But then when he drew Jesus with 'Praise & Worship' songs, a miracle happened.
This person drew Jesus in the front of our Church during 'Praise & Worship'. And the drawing was actually printed in our local newspapers. Because this was a ministry of his for a while. He went to different Churches & did this in our community. But I asked God about this. Because I didn't feel that the other pictures of Jesus did Jesus justice. Jesus let me know that this picture looked something like He looked when He walked the earth. So? I cut the picture from the newspaper out & put it in a frame. Then I compare it to other pictures of Jesus. And also, the drawing of Jesus looked similar in affect to 'Jim Caviezel' when He played on 'The Passion of the Christ'. So there is an idea of how Jesus looks in the Spirit & has been protrayed in some artistic depictions.
Obviously God was pleased with 'Jim Caviezel' because he was hit by lightening (& not seriously harmed) & also hit with the whip during the production. And if these things happened nothing would prevent them from producing this film.
Also, some of the famous arts of Jesus I don't like. For example, I discern Jesus doesn't like the one of Him in the 'Last Supper' by Di'Vinsi. I never really liked it in my spirit. The Lord had me give a metal copy of it to charity. Just before 'The Di'Vinsi Code came out'.
In response to an answer about making images of Jesus. Making images of Jesus in His 'humanity' is OK. Because Jesus did put on human flesh & walk the earth. But to say the image looks exactly like he does is wrong.
Also, to make images of Mary is OK, because she was a young human lady. But to make images of saints in heaven, I would be careful. Some of those images are ugly. I know that John Paul blessed some ugly statue that fell in some country (?Cuba) as the Virgin Mary. Now the people only go to the Church to worship this image. And it is ugly. I doubt it looks like her at all. I imagine Mary as being very beautiful.
Also, The Shroud of Turin. The Lord has let me know in my spirit he isn't Him. Also, some of the damaged parts have been redone. I believe he might be a different Early Christian martyr. But the fingers being straight like that after being pierced by spikes just doesn't make sense to me either.
gelfing has interesting pictures & I asked God in spirit about these & get the same answer. Jesus looked more like Jim C. And that some of the early disciples or Christians looked like the other two.

Anil do you really care to find out how Christ looked like in physical appearance? You have disppointed me because physical appearance is a very outward concept, we have to see the inner self of such great souls that will always be as beautiful and attractive as spring season in full bloom.

Many famous historical figures were known for a distinguishing feature such as a big nose , piecing blue eyes , being very tall , having a lisp etc etc , however when we look at Jesus , everyone depicts him as an ideal person according to their minds eye.
There are no temple statues of Jesus , no coins , no drawings , no descriptions whatsoever. This is just what we would expect for a mythical character.
So to answer your question : No-one knows what a mythical person looks like.

No, but if he existed, he probably would have looked much like Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden, since they're from the same area of the world. The skull of a sample 1st century Palestinian peasant resembles Hussein, and the image on the Shroud of Turin, which many believe to be Jesus' burial cloth, looks just like bin Laden (it's even abnormally tall like bin Laden).
Look at the images here:

No one knows what he looked like, the only ideas they can get is that he spoke Aramaic, his feet was of a bronze color and his hair was like lambs wool, born in the middle east.
