What is meant by "Scientific"? Raising questions and making an attempt to find answers--Sir.Newton asked the question why an apple should fall down from a tree instead of going up?-he found out about 'Gravity'.Do other religions REALLY allow the devotees to raise questions about their beliefs? Hindu religion allows. Kathopanishad is question -answer only between a small boy sri.Nachiketha and sri.Yama (the "Divinity" responsible for taking away the "life',when one's lifespan is over.).sri.Yama asks questions to sri yudhishtira and tests the latter's knowledge. sri.Yudhistira asks questions to sri.Bhishma inhis death-bed ,"What is the Righteous conduct of human being and get the answers-Kim(Which) Ekatham Daivam ?-Ko(Which) Dharmam sarva dharmaanaam?--sri.Arjuna asks questions and sri.Krishna replies his questions in sri.Bhagavad Geetha.sri.Acharya (very great Teacher) Sankara has written "Prasna(question) Utthara(answer) sadham(100) Shall I give another 100 examples from the Vedham?-ssrvj,-M.sc.,M.Phil.,Ph.D.(Chemistry)-

Just be aware that any religion can make "claims". After looking into both Muslim and Christian claim, I'm profoundly underwhelmed. It is only by a complete stretch of imagination that you can give them any credence at all.

Unlike Islam, Hinduism encourages doubt. Doubt is the basis of science. But reincarnation makes no sense. Only several asian faiths encourage doubt and scinetific exploreration rather than just blind faith
