Hi, as I've been using Optima 38 (soft lens) for straight 8 years, I'd love to have a try for other brands to see if there's any better brands out there. Are there any? Or do Acuvue or Focus carry yearly lens too? Thanks.

The Optima 38 brand that I'm using will turn kinda dry if wearing them after long hours, so that's why I want to look for other better brands...

The matket for " yearly" lenses is shrinking very fast.

Monthly, or 2 week disposables are so much healthier for the cornea.

Talk to the Optician or Optometrist where you normally get your lenses about trying disposables. They will have your measurments on file, and will be able to give you trials that would be best for you.

It is really not a matter of shopping for "better" lenses. Your Doctor knows your measurements for the diameter and steepness of your cornea, your corneal thickness, your tear layer, your prescription etc. and they are the ones that know what lenses with their specific parameters would be best for you. Just because one person likes certain lens does not mean that another will fit well or be the best for you. Some lense materials are different and indicative for certain types of patients. As a patient you really do not get to pick or choose the lens you wear, it is the doctor that should be putting you in the one that is best for you and not compromising your eye health by putting you in something different just because you want to try something different, that might not be what your eye needs.
