Is it moral for people to come on to this section of V&V pretending to be vegan and ask stupid questions??

And why do so many people fall for it?? C'mon! Isn't it obvious to you that it isn't a real question?

And why is it that some responses get deleted and yet the TROLL asking the question continues to get away with this??

Mookie:
I thought it was obvious but once again let me explain... I am trying to get the attention she gets from the people that believe her idiotic questions. So that maybe they can realize that she is not for real!

Hi Ashley you change gender as easily as your hairdo.....I'm shocked that there are still people on here who can't distinguish a real question from a troll question but that's par for the course when talking about a subject as engrossing as veganism.

Yes, you are right its pretty obvious who any of the 8 Ashley accounts belong to.

The problem arises because:

1
many people are new to the fourm, so just answer a question at face value.

2
Other trolls will answer the question as if its real because it gies them a chance to knock veggies

3
Some people are in "Yahoo Answers Trance" and just seem to blindly go through question after question without stopping to think of its content

4
Even if people suspect s/he is a troll, people do not bother to rad through the questions history.

Trolls join forces to target questions and answers from regular contributors. If thats ll they have in thier lives to feel a sense of achievement, its pretty sad.

Veggies have a inherent belief that people are basically good and so we don't gang together to beat the trolls. We falsely think they will be reasonable one day. Whereas trolls judge other by thier own standards so believe we have no respect or conviction, they have no worries about destroying the forum so are quite willing to band together to drive us out - to them, its just a game.

Personally, I don't think it's "moral" to pretend to be vegan and post ridiculous answers. While I admit she can be entertaining with some of her questions, "Ashley's" purpose is to stir up trouble.

But what is your reason to go and mimic Ashley just so you can get attention? What are you hoping to accomplish by doing that?

edit: Okay, got it. Good luck on your quest. There are always a few people who think she is actually serious...

The Ashley you are making fun of is also an imitation Ashley who is there to make fun of the orginal Ashley.

I think the original Ashley had her account removed in September, but she may have come back using the same name and a different avatar. I'm not totally sure that's the same person either.

I don't get it either! How badly do some people want to believe that veg*ns are like "Ashley" that they actually fall for all of her ridiculous questions?! I think its really sad!!

Aren't you perpetuating this by giving it more time than it deserves? And who cares if it's a real question or not? 2 points are 2 points!
