find out number of guests and get enough food for them all
burgers and hot dogs are always good, otherwise if you want to be a bit fancier you can do chicken sandwiches and brats. have some kinds of sides like potato salads, pasta salads, regular salads. have appetizers for before and after the food like taco dips, chips, veggies and dip, deviled eggs, fruit salad, and of course have something sweet for dessert like cake, pies, cookies or cupcakes. games if outside you can play a whole bunch of relay type races, or have a game of volleyball going.
