Russia just had another major oil spill, and I dont see much commentary about it. Indias rivers are choked from erosion and pollution, China is the second-largest user of oil. Why is the United States still the only bad-guy in the conservation-blogosphere?

That does not fit the Liberal template. The Liberals have a template into which all things must fit. The template dictates that the cause of all environmental problems are: America, Capitalism, Corporations and the Bush/Cheney administration. Nothing else can possible be at fault because it does not fit the template.
If China or Russia or any other country is polluting the environment it must be due to one of the reasons listed above. It is America's, Capitalism's, Corporations' or Bush/Cheney's fault or some combination thereof.
Now, stop making sense and get with the program!

There is outcry from cause-oriented organizations.
As for the United States, imaging good ol george with a hand choking you and the other pointing a gun at your family...would be you crying out?
The US will remain the bad guy in the conservation are until a person who isn't an oil man, a rich businessman runs the country.
