I know a woman who had a baby boy with a gang member. She lied to the 'grandparents' about who the father was. She told the parents, whose son was cut in half in a car accident, that the boy was his. These grandparents automatically got attached to the baby boy because their own son had been killed. The biological father of the baby boy sued for paternity and it was proven that he actually was the biological father of the child (this 'gang member' wanted the responsibility of his son--this goes to show that people aren't totally evil sometimes.) Anyway the 'lied-to grandparents' were devistated once again. This woman didn't seem to care and moved on to her next scam. Thank goodness for DNA. This wasn't the first time this woman tried to pawn off a child on someone who wasn't the biological father. She lost that case with her oldest child too, Thank God!! This was just the scummiest thing I'd heard about for a long time and needed to share it.

Thats horrible. It made the grandparents go through the loss of their son yet one more time. Some people are evil to the core and will do anything to get someone else to pay their way. This 'mother' seems to be one of them. I'm guessing she was trying to get some kind of aid without having to name a living father. That way she can do what she wants, have someone else pay for it, and not have a father there to complicate things for her. At least the baby's father stepped in to do right by the kid. I hope he gets sole custody so that this kid won't be exposed to his mother's way of getting through life. There are worse stories than this one, I just can't think of any at the moment.

depends on motive i suppose,
was it for self gain?
or to give the child 2 doting grandparents?
or to possibly give the old couple a little happiness in their lives, they could have died thinking the child was a part of their son?
was she afraid of her baby having a gang member as a daddy?
or was she just greedy manipulative and selfish?
too many unanswered questions, there are way worse stories, children who are abused and neglected for instance
