dont give up on him. my cat did the same thing but shes mostly after food but the best thing to do would be to train him that these are not places for him to be some classic tricks are the coins in a jar and shake them at him when hes in places you dont want him to be the noise usually scares them away or you could try a squirt bottle with water this is what i did with my cat and shes better now and ive had her for two years. good luck

You might want to get another kitten so he has someone to play with. Can you imagine how bored you'd be if you were the only person and spent all your time in your apartment? Cats like to have a cat companion; people just don't have the same "culture."

BUT! Cats do stay very, very active until they are about a year old. I call it "Kitten Hell." They run and rip and tear. You can see that in the wild they would need this energy because they would spend a lot of time hunting in order to improve their skills and get enough to eat. But they will calm down eventually.

AND! Cats like to be on things that are high up. They feel safe there and can relax and look down on their territory. It's not so bad if the cats are on the table or counter, just wipe the darned counter. Don't try to make an animal into a stuffed toy; cats will always want to be in high places.

Well, he just sounds like he's being a normal kitten to me, many are crazy! You could try just keeping him out of certain rooms by keeping the doors shut - I would suggest keeping him out of the kitchen at least.

Are your cats neutered by the way?

If you don't want to give him away then don't. If you don't feel like you can cope however, then maybe it is a good idea. The cat isn't doing anything wrong, he's just being a cat. Is he allowed outside at all (if neutered)? This often helps burn off excess energy! Or you could just spend a lot of time playing with him to burn off his energy!

You could try putting tape on the surfaces he jumps on (roll scotch tape, or if the surface won't be damaged, box tape, so it sticks to the surface and there is sticky side up.). Cats hate to have anything stuck to their paws, and this could deter him from ever wanting to get back up there again. I've already seen water mentioned, and I agree that keeping a spray bottle handy can also be helpful. Don't give up on him!

at first, end hitting Sammie. Cats have no clue that hitting is to attempt to end them from doing something incorrect. Cats look at being hit or injury as something to stay away from, or the sign to attack. in case you nevertheless hit your cat, you are going to wind up with an offended cat which will advance a reliable hatred for you and that i'm constructive you do no longer choose for that. There are 2 issues i know of which you will attempt. or you may combine the two issues. a million: "day out" save a provider reachable. If Sammie is going close to Jessi, pull her away and say, "No." do no longer yell, do no longer advance your voice, only communicate firmly. Then, placed her on the floor, far flung from Jessi. If Sammie assaults thrice, then placed Sammie in her provider for awhile. 2: "Startling noise" placed some marbles or small rocks in something like a espresso can and save it reachable. each and every time you notice Sammie choose for Jessi, shake the heck out of the can and make the form of racket. Cats do in contrast to loud noises, particularly whilst they are "stalking." attempt to no longer enable Sammie see you shake the can, enable Sammie think of that each and every time she assaults Jessi, a horribly loud noise happens. you may combine the two by using using the noisemaker and if Sammie assaults Jessi thrice, then tossing her into the provider. in case you do placed her interior the provider, she could save on somewhat. forget approximately approximately it. make constructive she's have been given a snug blanket, and specific, once you're annoying she's hurting herself, you may look in at her, yet do no longer seek advice from her, only forget approximately approximately her as maximum suitable you may. If the assumption of the provider bothers you, you additionally can placed her in yet another room the place she'll be remoted from the different cats.

Please dont give him away, you never know what kind of people will have him. He is still a baby, thats what young cats do, they get inot everything! One thing that might calm him down is if you neuter him, you should do this anyway so no unwanted kittens are born, and so he doesnt spray inside your house....it stinks bad.

He's a kitten, they are all like that at a younger age. He'll calm down later on. Wait another six months, it's probably a phase. Train him not to do it as well.

I would use a lite weight leash and just give it a swift tug when the cat goes where he does not belong.

best wishes
