I've never seen a purple elephant. I do know that elephants exist, but I've never seen any evidence that any of them are purple, so no, I don't believe in purple elephants at this time - unless, of course, it's painted purple.
If, however, someone provided evidence or a preponderance of anecdotal sightings of such a creature, I'd have to keep an open mind on the subject.

But no elephant is naturally born purple.
