Is this for real? Are there really places like this that exist in the United States?

I always heard of christian fundamentalists, but I was under the impression it was a smaller group, and that people were actually exaggerating when explaining their beliefs.

You know, blowing it all out of proportion.

But this movie disproves my assumptions. What about yours?

Yes, places like these are real. Its the fundamentalist Christian version of the madrassa. These people don't even know that they are contradicting themselves. Did you notice how often the children were crying? To me what they are doing to those children is emotional child abuse.

Really? You weren't aware of the millions of fundamentalist Christians in the US? They've played a pretty important role in American politics, especially in the last 25 or so years.

Religious fundamentalists, of all persuasions, are one of the gravest dangers to human rights and democracy.

You might want to see "Hell House," a documentary about the rather twisted haunted house-style attractions that fundamentalist Christians operate during Halloween. It would be laughable if it weren't so crazy.

Ironically, most of the bible-thumping types you find in the US are completely oblivious to the fact that the prejudices they entertain and spread are shared by fundamentalist Muslims.

You were expecting something like sun shine and lollipops?

I have known about these kinds of things for some years. It is scary and worrying. The poor kids, to be brain washed in that way.....so where are the reponsible adults? Nowhere to be found.

Something ought to be done. Like the place and places like them should be closed down permanently..

That camp was shut down, but there are more like it.

Yes I have seen it, and no people aren't exaggerating when they speak of the intolerance of many Christians here.

This witch school is harming no one yet some in position to influence others seek to destroy it.

To be honest though, how do you think someone like W Bush got elected?

Yes it's real. According to Wikipedia, the camp in the movie has temporarily been shut down because the property owners were afraid of valdalism.

OK i'm all for teaching your children to love Jesus and try to change the world for the better but some of the stuff they were doing was crazy for example them all yelling "righteous judges, righteous judges" was crazy no one has the right to judge but god or "this means war, this means war" that was crazy too dude.

I saw it. It reminded me of a religio-political mind-control experiment from some sci-fi film.
