Tithing is a command from God that every believer must participate in. Coming from a pastors son that doesnt go to church, tithing is a blessing in every way. Basically the bible states that every believer should tithe 10 percent of your individual income. When I did tithe, I would always tithe 12 percent giving god more then the usual. People also think that tithing needs to be done in a church. Wrong! You can tithe by giving your ten percent to many things.

The tithe is a law in Leviticus, it comes from giving a 1/10 of your finest oxen to the Levite ( the Priest ). The origin of the tithe comes mainly from the Old Testament, and it has nothing to do with money. It has to do with giving the finest cattle to the Priest (Levite) because the Priests in those days spent their time studying the Torah (1st 5 books of the bible) or (Tenach Prophets etc) and didn't have time to raise the cattle, or do farming. They did this so the priests could eat, today its been totally misconceived, and is about money..

You only give so the Pastor (priest) could eat, if he has enough to eat you don't give to him.. Allot of people are tricked by the fact of sewing seeds, but when you read mattew closely it has nothing to do with money, its righteous acts...like doing disgustingly nice things for people...

Im too tired to give you the verses sorry hun...

a couple points that might surprise . some years Atheists have been recorded as giving more to charitable causes then religious people and my system of tithes is to throw my paycheck up in the air and whatever doesn't come back down is god's.

A tithe is a tenth of one's income given to a church. Something like that.

The word "tithe" means "one-tenth." God can make 90% of your income go farther than 100% of it if you faithfully tithe.

It's a tax imposed by some churches (or in some cases, given voluntarily). The amount is usually 10% of your earnings.

If you give 1/10, to God, your place of spiritual enlightenment.
YOU will recieve 10 fold back.

you can never give away that which you don't already have.
this is a long time tithing practice, that many do, and they are very wealhty.
