"I'd like to know you better. Can we talk for 2 minutes?" You are total strangers and never seen each other before.

It is a good opener & it may work but not on all girls. What if the girl,on whom you are using this line on is a serious type,so,you never know what type of girl you are using this line on,but this line is not bad.

What does that have to do with being in a cafeteria? Maybe if you asked if a seat was taken first or offered her an apple or something she might appreciate after all she is more than likely there because she is hungry for food not for strangers.

I think with a line like that you'd plummet fast to rejection or else feel ridiculed by crazy laughter!!!!!!! one tip for you is that most of those 'lines' just plain and simple DON'T work!!! any girl who has any kind of smarts whatsoever will see through stuff like that unless it's said in a 'tongue in cheek' manner - as in, "isn't this a terrible line but i'm a funny guy delivering it".......lines are best avoided for the mostpart - it's the cheesy but true case of 'just be yourself' and say something that feels natural without scaring the girl away that usually works. that line just sounds too contrived, corny and a little....well....wierd......I'm guessing you HAVEN'T used this line before (since you're asking the question) because my guess is that, you haven't used it before (and therefore don't see how bad it sounds) or you have used it but anyone that it's worked on is a little short on picking up that any guy using a line like that is a little out of touch with what's sincere and what's not. in other words - DITCH the line!!

if you care so much about her, don`t cheapen everything by opening a line in front of her Friends, either ask her to to be excused from her Friends and take her aside or try another time. Am not an expert in this area but it sure gives some respect to the girl and your future relationship. girls must talk about these things, why spoil it for her by doing it in front of her Friends, let she tell them when you are done talking with her, let her have the chance to spice it up with her own little additions to what went between you two. see what I mean?

Of all the pickup lines I've heard, this one is surprisingly not insulting in any way. If I were this girl, I would probably look at my friends and blush and giggle and then agree to talk for 2 minutes. I like that this line is classy, and not so corny or rude. :)

i will walk off from there or shout at him.
I would not dare to give a punch on his face when a guy approaches me this way.

i think it also depends on the way u look and the way u r dressed when u approach her.

Sometimes girls just dont need words to understand. The way u look at her will amke her coem to you.

all the best buddy!

if someone asked me that, my first response would be "what did you want to talk about?", then what would you say. plus, if you're strangers why would she want to go off with you. girls like background info before they know what they're gonna get into. you might want to approach her at her lockers or some other place & just say "hi..." then continue to talk with her. it's not a business meeting.

Yeah all the time.. ;) hhaa
But it's kind of a weird way to start a convo just randomly saying you want to know her better.. sounds kinda creepy, you should maybe introduce yourself first.

That sounds nice. I don't know how successful you'd be, it depends on whether or not the girl would want to talk to you. But in front of her friends could be embarrassing for one or both of you. Try to catch her on her own.
