I have recently discovered that i have a very odd shaped head. I have a very defined ridge in the back of my skull, it is hard to explain but I am wondering if anyone can tell me if they have or have seen anything similar. My sister is a nurse and is literally scarying the hell out of me. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

You might be feeling the external occipital protuberance - a ridge on the back of the skull that everyone has. Some folks don't realize it's there because they rarely have a reason to feel around on the back of their skulls.

On the other hand, if the bump on your head is a new thing (i.e. it wasn't there before), it ought to be checked by a doctor.
