So who's going to take care of your Golden Retriever if you got another dog? And will you just ignore it when you get a new one? You're a kid - it's your parents decision. Besides, you don't even know how to spell Chihuahua. Love your Golden - those are great dogs. Chihuahuas are fragile little bug-eyed yappy things!

Dang that first answer was a bit harsh, about the spelling anyway... not everyone can spell like the spelling gods of Yahoo. Dang. Anyways, as for the chihuahua, they are right, they do yap alot, and they are smaller and more fragile... I think of them as large rodents haha! Any type of dog that bounces when it barks can't be a dog haha! Honestly all you can do is ask... it's ultimately your parents decision on what comes in the house. So there's nothing anyone can really tell you to get your parents to get you a dog, you know her better than anyone here... just ask in themost honest you know how... be honest, and if she says no, it because they have a good reason, like they don't want the food, vet bill, responbility of cleaning up or listening to it bark, ect. Just respect what they decide, if notbe sure you get one when you move out. Best of luck!!

Well I used to have one, but we didn't have her for long so we weren't attached. We gave her back. Anyways, they have to go to the bathroom a lot and they require a lot of attention. I also have a golden retriever and had him even with my little dog. My golden retriever got very bored and you could see the sadness in his eyes. So we gave the dog back. Trust me, you only need one dog, bigs dogs are just as cute as small ones

maximum mothers start up the weaning technique around 4 weeks, so she's proper on schedule. you're proper in assuming that is because of the fact of their sharp tooth. additionally, their nails in case you have not clipped them yet. however, those domestic dogs choose the two their mom and each and all the muddle associates till they are 8 weeks previous. They learn considered necessary social qualifications which includes chew inhibition for the time of those weeks - qualifications they ought to become nicely adjusted dogs, optimistically with good temperaments as adults. i don't understand who you have been coping with an unhousetrained dogs all this time, yet now would be an exceedingly undesirable time to coach out the mum because of the fact she's not housetrained. you have performed this style of excellent ingredient taking her in and taking care of her and her domestic dogs all this time, it variety of feels to be housetraining her often is the least puzzling ingredient you have performed!!!

I don't know if you have younger siblings, but chihuahuas are not good with young people. They are nippy.

I have several chihuahuas and a golden. They get along fine. But the chis are not good with small kids. Chihuahuas are like babies. They need to be held and petted and kept safe.

Well I have a BT or Boston Terrier and they are awesome dogs. Trust me you don't want a chihuhua because they are loud and just weird so BT's are soooooooooooooooooooo cool.

Good Luck

So what are you going to do, kick the G. Ret. to the curb?

If not you do realize you'll have to dogs to clean up after if you get another one, less mess or not, you're still cleaning up after two dogs.

My thing is...........they are so tiny that at times we feel like hugging our pet dog but you CAN'T give a 'bear' hug to such a tiny dog! They are dogs, they are not toys. Even as tiny as they are, they are dogs that have to be taken care of, etc. etc. etc.
You have been lectured enough....be happy with that great dog of yours that you have now.
I don't want to lecture because i have a Yorkshire Terrier and she is so sweettttt !
Sorry to get your hopes up but...i got her when she was 12 years old! It WAS my daughters dog, turned into being mine because the novelty wore out...so, wait wait wait...........
