Ok hang on a minute. What does this have to do with religion or the Church for that matter. Are you saying that other members of the congregation are aware of this happening?. If so, then what on earth can they do anyway. It is really none of there business. In fact this is nobodies business but the woman and the young man. This is a sin in the eyes of the lord and his commandments. This woman will have to deal with her breaking of this. You may find this appalling, however it is her life, not yours. Please don't blame the Church or God or Jesus. They can only give us the starting point, which is birth. How we travel from there is up entirely to us. :-)

No religion can transform any human being from his inner base animal instincts and sensual pleasures unless one tries to change one self and here the church is a helpless witness to such activities.See the other side- a boy meets a girl and gets married and lived happily . So no use of blaming any religion or institution. All made for betterment of humans but gets distorted by us to suit our wants..

Even though there is a big age difference and she is harming her spouse, I hope you will leave the woman alone - unless she is sleeping with him inside the church, in which case it's considerate for a manager or other figure to ask them to leave and not return. That . I don't think churches should act like Big Brother in 1984. Her actions are not your business.

If it were up to me, I would feel bad about the spouses being misled, but I would not get involved unless I were friends with the person being lied to - even then it would be a huge mess.

Sweet Pea: Stoning people was never, and should never be considered morally acceptable. No religion should justify cruelty.

If you are genuinely concerned about this situation, speak to your pastor/ minister about it. He will deal with the situation with the church elders, or the church council.
You have then done all you need to do. You can pray for the situation to be resolved quickly and discreetly, but other than that, you need to butt out and mind your own business.
This situation may only be in your mind, there may only be friendship involved, and if this is so, you could be responsible for destroying a family.
Sometimes the best thing is to button your lip.

It's "accept", not "except".

I don't know what religion would accept this sort of behavior. Probably not many; churches and religion in general are good at laying down arbitrary moral values and telling people what they can and cannot do.

you ask this question once a week. if it's your business, step up and call her on it. if it's not your business, STFU, already.

btw, it's none of the church's business, unless they are ******* in the parking lot or in the building. the church has no jurisdiction, churches only have the authority its members allow. that's how churches become cults. by convincing it's members it has full authority over the congregations lives and choices.

The Bible condemns immorality. This woman is committing adultery and the man (if single) is committing fornication. Both are sins in the eyes of God and if they were living in the Isrealite times they would both be stoned. However. in today's society we do not put people to death. Leviticus 20 v 10.
In accordance with the Scriptures, they would both be disfellowshipped. 1 Corinthians 5 v 9 - 13.
