Please don't be so hard on them. I have been on this old Earth many years, and I have learned that many people aren't quite sure just what being a Christian is. Many people I have encountered over the years think that if one believes in God and Jesus they are a Christian. They know nothing of repenting and asking Jesus to come into their lives! They continue to sin because they aren't sure just what sin is, they don't go to church,& they just think that believing in God and believing that Jesus is Gods only son make them a Christian.

How do people LIE, and yet remain Christian? Lying is a violation of one of the Ten Commandments. Premarital sex is not. Not that it makes much difference, since quite literally, **everyone** lies.

So if one chooses to make perfection a prerequisite for being a Christian, then by that standard, there would not be one single Christian in existence on the entire planet.

@erickallen: Fornication is most definitely a sin, even in the NT. Read Galatians 5.

Premarital sex can happen "in the heat of the moment", when a person's hormones cloud their thinking. Let's not sit here in our ivory towers and click our tongues. It happens. But if a person has been raised in sound Christian values and taught to *understand* the repercussions of sex, then they have less chance of falling into the trap.

Sex isn't just a physical act. It creates spiritual and emotional bonds between partners, whether you intend to or want to or not. They are there. That is why Paul speaks of not "being joined" with prostitutes. He recognized the reality of the sexual bond.

This idea is no longer "fashionable" because it is no longer acceptable in many places in the modern Western world. That does not mean for one moment that it isn't true.

Sleeping around is fornication. That's all there is to it. And you can't just say "Oh I'll repent later" because God knows about sincerity and hypocrisy. God is not mocked.

I'm not saying God can't forgive you, because He can...just don't confuse his patience with approval.

It's called being willingly or unwillingly disobedient. Just like Muslims, some Christians grow up knowing about the existence of God but are blind to the consequences of their evil works because they weren't taught about The laws that come along with God's purpose. That's why God has instructed those who believe in him to recite what he has revealed (The Holy Bible & The Holy Quran) and apply it to our everyday lives so that we may not be lead by Satan into evil & abominable wicked temptations which will eventually end in us getting burned by the Eternal fire on judgement day.
God is Oft- forgiving and Mostly Merciful but he is also strict in punishment and all wise.

Monotheists and Atheists don't recieve the same type of mercy from Allah, nor do they recieve the same degree of retribution. God shows special mercy and kindness to those who love him. But Allah disgraces all Atheists in this world and on the day of judgement.

The Holy Quran. Surah 42 (Consultation) verses 25 thru 26.
25. He is the One that accepts Repentance from His Servants And forgives sins: And He knows all That ye do.
26. And he listens to those who believe and Do deeds of righteousness, And gives them increase Of His Bounty: but For the Unbelievers there is A terrible Penalty.

First of all, everyone sins. To be a Christian, all that is required is to accept Christ and know that He paves the way for forgiveness, if you seek it.

Next, I'm not all that sure that the Bible forbids premarital sex. It talks extensively about the seriousness of sex, and the important connection between love and sex. It doesn't exactly clarify the "requirements" for having sex. For example, many important Biblical figures had concubines. A concubine is a sexual partner outside of marriage. If that's okay, why isn't it okay to have sex with someone you're in love with?

A mistake is easy to make, if that's what it was. Or it could be a difference in belief. Remember, people read the Bible differently. Some believe it black and white, clear as day, 100% literal. Others see it as a gray area up to interpretations and adjustable to fit new time periods and technology. They didn't heve birth control when the Bible was written, so who knows. Maybe someone have premarital sex has seen this as adjustable to this new time period with this new technology. Who knows. It's just probably a difference in religion.

Well, we change our perception of the word similar to the JW's with theirs. The word speaks that every time we do this, we create another false God to suit our needs.

Lets look at it, the word shuns sexual sin. It says to hold unto yourself unto that time he has delivered that special someone to you. Then it speaks to hold on to the solemn vowel of abstinence until his word has covered your relationship. If this is not true, then maybe we should re-consider prearranged marriages.

Most importantly, the Word speaks that you have lost him completely. It is spoken that God is pure and holy; not tolerant of any sin within man. When we come to him with things we sin we knew was wrong. We openly rape (abuse) his spirit with our own bodies. The blood as it is written in Jeremiah is precious, if not kept clean it is unacceptable. God forgives, but it does not exist the same for those who already know the law.

Remember, we do not expect the same things from are older children that we do from babies. (same law.) But there is one thing, remember God accepts a truly repentant heart that admonishes obedience. Judah and King David were guilty of sexual sin, but the Christ came directly through their line.

When I did, I wasn't a christian. The Websters Dictionary defines Christian as 'one who follows Christ'. I wasn't following Christ when I did what I did, but I repented and moved on. I have remained 'sober' ever since. But that doesn't mean every now and then, I'm not tempted to 'drink' again. LOL.

Once a believer, always a believer. I think if the sinner is repentant and asks for forgiveness, God WILL forgive them. Sinning doesn't counter-act one's faith in Christ. However, if the sinner feels no remorse, nor desire to leave their ways of sin than they have some personal things to work out.

It has been a very long time since we have actually seen God's Wrath, at work..People get so much..."Jesus loves you" in modern day churches, and the Pastors rarely give sermons on accountability.

We are forgetting that it is the same god that we are worshiping who dealt with Sodom and Gomorrah, and the flood.
