From what I could tell on www.ancestry.com--where there are several listings--the name JOHANNE is feminine, the German spelling for JOAN or JOANNE, or the female version of JOHN. Had you given any dates, etc. I could have sent you some examples.

Yo han if thats close to how its pronounced would be masc...

it looks like jo anne though, that would be fem.
