There is nothing wrong with you baby girl but I would seriously consider what will happen to the family if you do enter into a relationship with your cousin. First establish whether his feelings are true and then talk about it...if you just want a fling then it is not worth it.
If it did become serious, however, you would have to consider the fact that if you have children, there maybe (but not always) defects in their genetics etc...

You cant help who you fall in love with...if you wanna talk IM me, I won't judge you x

I dont think you should like him. It wouldnt be right. Hes related to you- if you ever got married and had kids, you could cause problems with the kids. Also, in most states, its illegal to marry your cousin. If you went out with him and broke up (which you would if you ever went out if you want to stay legal), things would never be the same between you two. Also it could earn you a bad Reputation.

Get over him and like someone else. But no, it is not wrong. Happens a lot, you just have to get over him, as in liking him like that.

Love him like a brother, not a lover ;)

Hello Bud,

Despite many answers saying it is not legal, it is perfectly legal to marry your first cousin in the UK.

In fact studies have shown that marriages and relationships between 1st cousins are far more liklely to succeed due to the strong family ties.

It is also rare that offspring have any defects from such marriages.

I believe it was King Henry the eigth who decreed it was legal to marry a 1st cousin. He did this in order to marry one of his 6 wives, one of which was his 1st cousin.

Charles Darwin and Einstein married theirs.

In some states in the US it is legal, but you would have check up on the legal issue.

I am assuming you are British or American, however wherever you hail from a Search Engine search will confirm this.

If you are British, a phone call to your local Citizens Advice Bureau will give you the information you need. It is a free and highly confidential service.

It's ok to have crushes on cousins. But that's as far as it should go. And male cousins are more likely to hit on their female cousins...it's a hormonal thing. But keep it sweet and within the boundaries of family. Incest is never acceptable ok.

No undemanding ancestor interior the previous 7 generations - circulate forward! For Hindus: If the two certainly one of you're of the same Gotra. i.e. same prolonged kin, then you definitely are the two descendants of the same Saint! hence this is a no. Even the regulation above is overridden!

Actually, I saw a Dateline or 20/20 once where they reported studies showing that first-cousin couple are highly unlikely to have children with birth defects. STILL... with billions of fish in the sea, why not try to find one not swimming in your own gene pool?

No its not. I work as a midwife and one of the questions we ask is "is your partner related to you" this is because the baby is more likely to have disabilities if you marry your cousin. My cousins are like brothers to me.

definitely NOT! Don't worry, you'll get over him once you dated other guys. It's just a displacement of feelings, that's all. Have a constructive and wholesome relationship with your cousin.
