If there was a worldwide flood from so many days of rain, why did fish species who cannot easily tolerate a sudden drop in salinity of ocean water NOT go extinct, and why did so many sea reptiles (which are MORE tolerant of changes in salinty) GO extinct? If God protected some and killed off others during the floods, why not just smite them down (and the sinful humans) without bothering with a flood?
He god-struck down (with uncondtional love) Ananias and Sapphira, in the book of Acts of the Apostles, simply for not paying their tithes. Why not do this to the "wicked" humans and spare the good humans and the innocent animals?

Isaiah: I did not assert that the fish from then are still in existence today. All I said was they survived the extinction event that Creationists call "Noah's Flood". That is not to say they have persisted in that form until modern times. Sharks, however, have not changed very much in overall design since they came onto the scene. The vast majority of sharks, for example, cannot tolerate fresh or brackish water, or sudden drops in salinity.

wouldn't "cause it never happened" be a great explanation for all your questions?

He struck down Ananias and Sapphira for lying to the Apostles, not for holding back money from God. And what makes you think that the Flood narrative was ever intended to reflect history? Knowing what we know about 9th century Judaism, do you think the original hearers believed in a literal, world-wide flood? What does archaelogy say about the Genesis flood? Does the Hebrew account describe a global flood, or was that just the context applied by 16th century translators? Does the Flood narrative reflect any other ancient Semitic cosmological myths? Where does the concept of an 'ark' appear in contemporary Semitic literature, and where do you find the same calendar dates mentioned in contemporary literature?

Why don't he ever send them to that hell every one speaks about?
Ananias and Sapphira could just have been bold faced honest, the holy Spirit exposed them as unholy, it does not dwell in the unholy. The spirit of God is the life in the soul, we are born imperfect from Adam, we have a short life as
a result, but salvation is a promise from Jesus for a perfect life.
The earth was filled with violence before the flood at year 1656, it ended. I have no idea what the population might have been with most living near to 1000 years old, they also had a human like species that had to become extinct as they could not reproduce, before and after the flood, none were ever trying to establish law and order.
The animal's in the flood out side and inside the ark, [ for sure they belong to God and survived ages before man came along ], Moses and the animal's in the wilderness when people are being feed Manna from heaven, animal's need food and water, animal's need to be healthy for food and perfect for sacrifice, Jesus said, God takes care of the sparrows and the lillies of the fields. As species such a dinasours serve their purpose, they must become extinct, some things are for the purpose of earth preparation.

Why do you presume to know the salt water content of an archaic ocean? It is also very possible that the original salinity was much less than it is today, and that modern levels are the result of suboceanic ba"salt" flows during the flood(i.e. fountains of the deep). In that case there wouldn't be a sudden drop in salinity, but a gradual rise over time, of which freshwater fish would slowly adapt. The link below is an example of adaptation.

You wrongly assume that all the species of fish that exist today also existed way back then. Genetics is a miraculous thing. Brand new species are appearing even now. God is an awesome God.
Regarding Ananias, show me ONE Scripture where God loves with an unconditional love. Just one.
Edit:
Let me rephrase. How can you know which species were and were not alive during Noah's day? Those fish that you refer to as not having gone extinct (as a result of the Flood) may not have existed in Noah's day. They may have arrived at a much later time.
Read up on the field of genetics. It supports the Bible.

well, you see, first god used his big lightning bolts to fry up some sand and turn it into glass for noah. Then he got all the pigeons together and made them eat rubber trees so that when they pooped it was a great and lasting sealant for use on the ............ not buying it, huh?
Maybe it's just a story or something then.......
The other ones that would have had a real hard time in the flood would be the amphibians.... imagine all the aquariums on that boat to keep just the completely aquatic species alive for a month and a half!!!

Dear,
My answers is very simple and straight forward.
Noah was preaching for more than 600 years. (Prophet Noah life was 950 years) Only 6o pairs of the people in Noah's time worship God. The rest including his own wife deny Noah. Noah was order to built and Ark to face the world flood. Noah planted trees and waited for 100 years to mature and built the Arks. God send all the representative of animals and birds on board of Noah are when the flood start to begin. There are three stories on Noah Ark. First storey for animals, second storey for peoples and third storey for birds.
The Flood is all over the world. No people who does not worship God alive. All on board are the followers of Prophet Noah. When the Flood subsided, the Ark came to rest on Mount Ararat.

Best answer supporting the event of survival of certain fish species.
Just a theory.
Most fish start out as an egg, other fish cannot eat eggs if there dead from the selenity change of the water.
Hatchlings also have a chance to adapt.

If you are on the Genesis bus from "In the beginning..." and don't tell the driver you want to get off until the rain starts to fall on Noah's fishies, you're too far gone with the Kool Aid.
