depending on the age of your dog many flea pesticides are harmful as the name might infer (pesticide) my cat came home sick and infested with fleas at 5 weeks old when she was dropped on me i was told i couldnt do anything to help her because she was so young but if you go to the petstore there is a brand of all natural pesticide free bottle its called de-flea it may work for young animals also frequent baths will help you dog get rid of them until his medicine arrives

No point using Borax and salt, not helpful. Borax is also supposed to be kept away from animals. Get a proper house spray from a vets.
