You don't have to say anything. Just show them where the damages are. At that dollar damage, you're just looking at scratches. Adjusters can tell old damage from new damage - old damage will have dirt in it, and rust.

Well you don't have to say anything unless he asks you questions. Did you file an accident report thru the police? This would be the only way to prove the other car hit your car and did the damage, unless you can find witnesses to the fact.
I don't know how long this accident took place but if you haven't already, you better contact the police and file a report before this other driver can weasel out.

If they do not pay up speedy, you must file a declare with there insurance. It isn't your responsability to hold there premiums down. You need your truck fixed. They're at fault. It's ok to be a fine man, simply do not be a push over. If you happen to cannot come to agreeable phrases with them prior to the repairs being made, call there insurance and file the declare. Additionally most coverage organizations most effective enable so many days from the date of the accident to the date of the claim earlier than they are going to deny the declare.

You say "Here's the car"
When he is all done looking he will leave, go back to his office and do whatever it is they do there. Eventually he will send you something telling you either he will pay for the damage, or not. If it's not, you give it to your agent and he fights with them to get you paid. You don't have to tell the adjuster anything.
Any good claims adjuster can tell the difference between old and new damage.

If it was there, it was there. The other driver is using a line that people who don't want to take responsibility use. Although you should not have to prove it, do you photos of your car previously? Do you have evidence that this person hit your car? If so, maybe you should get the police involved. I called them 2 weeks afterwards when mine was hit...they didn't like the estimates for the damage so they tried to back out. The police put them in their place.

The adjuster can tell if damage was "already there". Old damage will have rust spots where the paint was knocked off. BTW, if his adjuster is coming to see your car, you are probably going to get paid!

in the event that they do no longer pay up rapid, you should record a declare with there coverage. this is not your responsability to maintain there rates down. you want your truck fixed. they are at fault. it is ok to be a superb guy, only don't be a push over. in case you may no longer come to agreeable words with them only before the upkeep being made, call there coverage and record the declare. additionally maximum coverage companies in elementary terms enable maximum of days from the date of the twist of fate to the date of the declare until eventually now they'll deny the declare.

Say NOTHING at all to the other party's adjuster. Only discuss this with YOUR insurance carrier.
Adjusters are not idiots. If the damage is obviously pre-existing they'll know almost immediately.

FOR NOW JUST DON'T SAY ANYTHING AND LET THE ADJUSTER DO ALL THE TALKING AND IF YOU ARE NO HAPPY JUST ASK HIM TO PROVE TO YOU WHAT IS NOT COVERED.
THEN USE THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT TACTIC.
