God knows...
Probably not in a good state.Currently 9% of America is Athiest compared to 2% in the 90s.
So I suppose religion will go down drastically, and that can only be changed after a mass change of events.Global Warming, nucear war, astroid impact,or some other huge catastrophie.
Why that is,is because currently, the way planet Earth is going, with Jihad, religious conflict and people dedicating their lives to bashing a religion, things can get really bad. There is much hatred in the world, and only after a mass reform can things be set right.Only after mass reform will people not think of god as a genocidal being who will send everyone to hell.
But if religious reform can be done peacefully, that would be truly amazing. If religious reform is done in such a way that people do not have to convert, but simply believe in god anyway they choose, and live an ideal human life, that would be amazing.
And there are very few organizations in the world who work towards that.

That's a presumptuous statement. You have no idea what state atheism will be in 2100. It may not exist. Or it may have branched out into many different forms and schools. Or it may only change in tiny ammounts. I assure you, though, it will not be completely the same, that is contrary to the laws of time and nature.
As for religion, and what it will be like, who knows. Alot can happen in 100 years. There will probably be new Christian demoninations, or maybe a few old ones won't be around. In this day and age of relativism, many new religions will likely have appeared, and existant ones will probably branch off or die off. This is all only if Christ tarries.
One thing I'm sure of- Jesus the Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and so is His Word. His followers, on the other hand, change just like the the rest of the human race. I can only hope we will change for the better.
God bless!

In 2100, countries like China and India will have intellectual influence on the world and I'm pretty sure they aren't going to give up their own heritage to adopt a Hebrew heritage (aka: Christianity). So I think by 2100, people will be too smart and open minded to fall for religion.

Hard to say. Taking a wild guess I think that many of the religions that are here with us today will still be around. People may not be as "religious", but there will be spirituality. Wicca, Neo-Paganism, and Nature religions will increase in numbers (hopefully), since I gravitate to these mostly.

thats assuming we make it that long. according to the mayan calendar, the world will end in 2012. just like it ended in 1975 and in 2000. and more than likely its gonna end some more.
but I think more people will become atheists or maybe a new religion will come up. if anything its gonna be harder and harder to believe in god because of new technology and the things we'll be able to do.
like holograms, it will be hard to tell if somebody is just an illusion or if they're real.

Once the know-it-alls have killed each other off, the atheist/agnostic humanists will be all that's left and we'll build a better world.
Fundies who fear science by saying atheists "pretend to understand science" will be laughed out of universities, even religious universities.
Politicians will finally stop claiming piety as vote pandering.
Oh, and I'll be dead, sad I won't live to see human evolution elimate the insanity of religion.

In every modern civilized countries, thanks to efficient public school systems and science education, religious superstitions and delusions are quietly fading away.
Psychiatric treatment based on zyprexa (use only as directed, see a doctor) can also help treat resistant cases of schizoid delusional mental disorder. Religion will still exist in a few minorities, mostly for folklore and tourism, just like in Western Europe today.

As education grows along with knowledge Atheism grows too but theistic religion goes on the decline as the facts are shown to refute superstitious tenets.

well i would think it will very very similar to what it is now. however restrictions might be the thing of the past. e.g. things that religion doesn't alow will not be forbidden, it will not be backed up by religious people. religion comes from thousands of years ago, i think it can survive less than a hundred years.
