I was raised a Catholic (ex now) and this is something I would have done at 17 while being Catholic. I didnt "get it" back then Gods peace :)

Ask the 17 year-old who dressed up as a priest.
Personally, even if the person meant it as a jesture of respect, it was probably not a good idea.
The garments that ordained priests wear are not costumes. To treat them as costumes (again, even if the person was doing it out of respect for the Church) still ends up trivializing the meaning of said garments.
Give the kid a break. It is possible for 17 year-olds to possess great faith. Personally, I find Catholics of this age group capable of coming up with the most creative PR for their religion.
It is entirely possible that this teenager may have great Faith and respect for the Church, but needs a little schooling when it comes to the PR front.

I don't know. Either very religious or he simply has a sense of humor and wanted to scare off all the kids dressed up like alter boys.

What does this question even mean? Who knows? He could have meant it as a joke or he could have meant it as a means of emulating someone he admires or would like to follow in the footsteps of. You'd have to ask him!

How religious are the priests who molest children?
Edit: I find it utterly remarkable that someone would thumb me down for answering this the way I did. Are you asserting that some priests have not molested children? Clearly they have, and clearly some still do. I can only assume, whoever thumbed me down, is protecting those priests who have molested children. I find you extremely offensive for doing so.

well if ur doing the halloween thing your not doing research on halloween it is a satanic holiday originating with devil worshipers and it is very sacreligous

You really can't judge, but, my guess that person might be religious but a little bit "in-your-face" as well.
