Dogs are always peeing and craping in my yard... Would it be mean if I biuld a devise called a dog pee post? The devise would consist of a metal conductor sticking up from the ground with a large car battery or several car batterys hooked together to a voltage amplifier (200,000 volts)....when a dog tries to take a piss on it it will get a non life threatining 200,00 volt jolt.....mabe i could set up a sprinkler system that would pop up and spray the dog with water when activated by the pee post...the wet dog would make a better conducter for electricity than a dry dog....this would be a non life threatining devise...it would just remind to dog not to pee there anymor.......

a fence has to be 4 ft. from the street...the dog would still crap in the unfenced 4 ft area! You know what, maybe ill just make it have high voltage and high amperage too.......

I think you have a good idea here. I like the pet lovers who say their pets are their kids, why do they take their kids down the street to pee. I like the folks who walk their dogs in the neighbor hood so that they can pee and poop in other people's yards. I think that if rover got his wanker zapped he would be sure and not pee in your yard again.

ive never heard of this device but i wouldnt do that to an animal many people will find it cruel and if you harm their animal you probably wont hear the end of it. a small fence around your yard may work or even at the pet store you can find yard sprays that are all natural that keep pets off certain parts of the yard with usually pungent odors.

a greater acceptable answer, and doubtless greater relaxing, is to get some "predator fragrance" and sprinkle it around the backyard. I even have used (do not chortle) Coyote Pee from a gardening shop. different animals know the fragrance and don't want to debris with a coyote, so as that they leave. Use it to mark the corners and edges of your backyard, only like a coyote might mark his territory. Ecologically sound, non-risky, and a chortle to save for. incredibly, coyote pee will do the job.

1) Build a device that zaps the OWNER that lets their dog roam around.
2) Check to see if your town has a leash law and report any owner that is not abiding by it. Enough tickets will make that owner think twice about letting their dog roam.
3)Find out who the owners are and go take a crap in their yard.

is it life threatening to you if the dog pees or craps in your yard? just pay a neighbour kid or something 5$ to clean up the crap. If my dog got electrocuted even if it was non life threatening id probably do something to you, or your yard, that's a little mean, and offencive.

You may be looking at some lawsuits if you do this. You may think its harmless but not all dogs are made the same and you could actually kill one. I know if it was my dog and you zapped her I would sue you. My dogs are like my kids and that is just inhumane.

Uhhh ever heard of animal cruelty?! Just post those little signs about having poison or harmful fertilizer on your lawn...You don't need to actually harm those innocent dogs....You're choosing a very immature and horrible solution....

If my dog were peeing on that post and got shocked, I'd be pissed off as hell.
It's just a yard. You can't do much about it. Maybe put a sign that says "Please pick up your dog's doo" or something?

Since dogs can't read I don't think they would understand keep off signs. They are probably wild dogs. They make powders you can put down and the scent of it keeps them away.

I'd still sue, who cares? It's a yard and not worth the court time. *Rolls eyes*
