dog pee post...?

Question

Dogs are always peeing and craping in my yard... Would it be mean if I biuld a devise called a dog pee post? The devise would consist of a metal conductor sticking up from the ground with a large car battery or several car batterys hooked together to a voltage amplifier (200,000 volts)....when a dog tries to take a piss on it it will get a non life threatining 200,00 volt jolt.....mabe i could set up a sprinkler system that would pop up and spray the dog with water when activated by the pee post...the wet dog would make a better conducter for electricity than a dry dog....this would be a non life threatining devise...it would just remind to dog not to pee there anymor.......

Oh yeah I would put a sign in my yard that said "warning High Voltage" "Not responsible for pet electicution or loss due to peeing in this yard"

There are already comercial produces to repell pests. Mose use a motion detector and emit a burst of ultra sonic noise to startle the animal.

I have also seen some which activate the water hose and spray water.


You electro shock idea would only work if the dog completes the electric circuit. All the dog has to do is move slightly an pee next to the post an it won't get shocked.


You can also try spreading used coffee grounds around the area. My wife does this along the edges of the grass. It seems to work, there must be a scent that puts them off.

A better answer, and possibly more fun, is to get some "predator scent" and sprinkle it around the yard. I have used (don't laugh) Coyote Pee from a gardening store. Other animals recognize the scent and don't want to mess with a coyote, so they depart. Use it to mark the corners and edges of your yard, just like a coyote would mark his territory. Ecologically sound, non-hazardous, and a laugh to shop for. Really, coyote pee will do the job.

ive in no way heard of this gadget yet i wouldnt do this to an animal many human beings will discover it merciless and in case you injury their animal you in all possibility wont hear the tip of it. a small fence around your backyard would artwork or perhaps on the puppy save you will hit upon backyard sprays that are all organic that save pets off particular factors of the backyard with in many cases pungent odors.

wonderful idea if i wish to kill a dog . it is dog killing it self because of pee'ing !
be kind and let the dog pee.
you stop peeing for a day and feel it your self- how much is peeing important !

Go pee there yourself. Dogs will smell it and know that that territory is taken!

thats mean! just let the dog pee in ur yard, its not that bad!
