Cute. But Jesus wasn't born into a world any more hedonistic than ours, really. Other Jews like Jesus living in the same areas at the same times were practicing fairly strictly, though the society was slowly getting assimilated to emulate the Roman occupiers of the territory. And Roman aesthetics follow to this day. Not that you were looking for a real answer on this one...
