I have ALWAYS been able to connect my camera to my computers via a usb cable, and have never had an issue. Tonight, it says that my device isn't detected. I've tried both computers, more than one cable, system restore, etc. Not sure what else I can do, but I NEED this fixed ASAP!!

The batteries are NEW, so that's not it. All connections are fine. Everything worked PERFECT just until yesterday when I posted this question. it isn't just on this computer (which is a laptop), it's also on my other computer. I've switched the cables out, and that didn't help. Reinstalled software, nothing changed.
Any OTHER advice?!

I assume everything else (batteries, cables etc) are physically okay.

1. Disconnect from your computer.

2. Remove the memory stick and insert back in camera

3. Restart your PC with camera connected to USB port

VOILA !!

(I face this with my Sone Ericsson phone at times - and haven;t yet found why this happens)

Sounds like your camera is not working correctly :
1) Your battery is low
2) You camera's USB connector is dirty or clogged

I suggest you try using a USB memory card reader instead. Or do you have a laptop? Most laptops have a memory card slot.

Good luck

Did you try changing the batteries on your Camera? Usually you need the camera on when using the USB cable.

I never connect my camera to my laptop. Mine has slots for memory cards, and that is what I use to transfer the pics to the laptop.
