Sorry........But there is no such thing.

In "1864" the J. Stevens Company was founded
In "1886" The name was changed from the J. Stevens Company to the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company..

There is no such thing as a "1794" J Stevens a+t armory "gun".....

You may in fact have a J Stevens Arms & Tool Company firearm, but a much more detailed description is called for..Model Number? Caliber? Rifle or Shotgun?

"fishtremble" is correct, many people make the mistake that the date is the year 1794, when in fact it's Apr 17, 94 which means 1894.

This is not the date or model of your gun, it's when the Stevens company patented their firearm or something.

Need a lot more info to date it, and model number and detailed description would be good. I have a Stevens single shot break action .410 around here that I got at a garage sale for $30.....and agian some models are more collectable and worth more.

There is no Model 1794, but many of the Stevens Favorites are marked with the patent date Apr 17 '94. The value can range from less than $100 for one of the more commonly found models in Poor condition to over $1000 for a scarcer model in Excellent condition.
