The most convincing hypothesis is that pubic hair – like axillary (armpit) hair – traps pheromones, those erotic scents that play such an important and fascinating role in human sexual communication. These pheromones are produced when the apocrine sweat glands release a viscous and odorless secretion on the skin surface that, when broken down by bacteria, results in a characteristic sexual scent. Pubic hair and underarm hair are a human being’s primary “scent traps”. Mammalian pheromones influence the secretion of gonadotropin – releasing hormone (GnRH), a hormone that has short- and long-term effects on neurotransmission. Studies (including various smelly T-shirt-sniffing experiments) have shown that human pheromones have a significant effect on the attractiveness of one sex to the other.
Odor is such a crucial component of mammalian mating. With all the deodorants, colognes, douches, and Brazilian waxes out there – it’s a wonder anyone can find a date anymore.

Hair was originally on our bodies for protection from the elements and still is to a certain degree. The hair on our heads keeps all our body heat from escaping and pubic hair is for protection of our genital area. The only reason I can see why hair is on our arm pits is to promote the selling of razors. Well that one is a stretch but the other two are serious.

pubic hair helps to retain certain glandular secretions that are supposed to be a powerful aphrodisiac. The nation's indefatigable corps of monkey testers has determined that armpit perfume has a direct stimulatory effect on the primate libido. The alluring fragrance of moldy T-shirts is thus accounted for, I guess. Clearly more scientific research is called for.

I heard that it helps ward off infection. Evolutionarily speaking, it takes tons and tons of time for something that is no longer genetically necessary to be weeded out of our species' everyday life. So pubic hair might have been a way to conserve body heat in the past (during the colder parts of the ice age) and now that we don't need it anymore, it might take eons for it to go away. Won't happen in your lifetime, so just deal with it as best you can, I guess. *sigh* I know, because it can annoy me too! :-)

The two most popular theories are evolution (pubic hair is one of those secondary sex characteristics that develops as a visual signifier for potential mates that you’re “ready” to reproduce) and pheromones (the hair traps your sexy musk and seductive funk in order to attract potential mates). A common myth is that pubic hair helps keep you warm down there.
Pubic hair is more likely a natural leftover from our prehistoric ancestors: they were hairy all over to keep them warm!

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMP6U While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Okay, why do need eyelashes? So when the wind blows no sand gets into your eye, right? So, same thing there, to keep it more clean and protect. It goes way back when people didn't wear clothes. I'm sure back then people were much hairy (so the body doesn't get cold). And now we are almost all bold....

It's ancestral. It protects the reproductive organs from the harsh weather. Basically, it keeps the boys warm so their little swimmers will work. Women make less sense, as our reproductive organs are in our abdomen, but physiologically, the reason is same. To protect the procreation of the race.
