I'd go with Singapore too.

Definitely Singapore. Judging by the television programs both in Hong Kong and Singapore, Singapore's english is much more refined and grammatical-error free. Besides, I have lived in Hong Kong and Singapore and I dare say that Singapore's english standard is better than Hong Kong's. Perhaps it could be due to the fact that Hong Kong people speak their main language (Cantonese) very well while Singaporeans main language is english. Therefore, the difference in standard in the articulation of english words and grammar can be understood.
Therefore, in conclusion, Singapore's english is better than Hong Kong's.

Definately Singapore.
I used to worked in HR department (based in Singapore) that liaise with Hong Kong representative office.
Once I had to call HK newspaper office to put up an ad at Hong Kong and I can tell you that I had problem communicating with the sales person over the phone. Yet over the internet, the sales person can type good english. End up I spoke broken Cantonese with the sales person to get the task done.
I had spoken with my American boss before and they comment that Singapore English are much understandable as comparable to Hong Kong English. Reason being that Hong Kong locals are used to speaking in Cantonese instead.

i might choose for Hong Kong! i've got been to Hong Kong in elementary terms two times, and that i've got in no way been to Singapore. yet in my own opinion and in accordance to my learn, i think of i might choose for to circulate to Hong Kong greater often. Singapore's climate is warm all-twelve months around, even in Christmas, because of the fact this is totally close to the equator. in assessment to Hong Kong which has a subtropical climate. there replaced right into a time whilst the temperature brought to 7C in Lantau Island. And, in spite of the undeniable fact that this is real that some small and massive procuring shops are extremely a approaches far flung from one yet another in HK, it isn't any problem as because of the Hong Kong's powerful transportation device. this is plenty much less confusing traveling because of MTR and the Trams, the place the fare is quite inexpensive besides (in elementary terms HK$2). and you may locate many places that sells quite priced products, like the Temple highway night industry, Tung Choi highway, Apliu highway Flea industry, Stanley industry, and so on. Plus, it is likewise very close to Macau and Shenzhen, a city in China's Guangdong Province. procuring is particularly inexpensive there, beware nonetheless of pretend and imitation products on condition that there are a lot of that there... As for the language concern, i did no longer locate that type of problem whilst i replaced into there. English is between the valid languages of Hong Kong, nonetheless whilst they are speaking between themselves that they had fairly use Cantonese. yet once you attitude them and ask them in English that they had be chuffed to respond to you lower back in English. i think of the only issues that are greater helpful in Singapore is its airport, because of the fact the Changi Airport beat the HKIA interior the Skytrax 2006 maximum suitable Airport Award, and its coastline in Sentosa Island...

I know that in Hongkong, Cantonese is much preferred over any other languages, and in Singapore, English is the lingua franca.
However, Singaporeans have this terrible English (even at my workplace), which disregard any tenses, and tonal, and make it sounds like it is Chinese Hokkien translated word by word to English.
Not all Singaporeans, some has the perfect pronunciation, grammar usages.
I have yet to listen to Hongkong English.
