Would cats ever reproduce with their parents? This is a serious question. I've always wondered that. If cats do this, would dogs too?

all animals do it its a matter of breeding but just like humans its not recommended as many genetic mutations may occur and serious health problems would be put on the offspring

Yes I'm pretty sure that they would reproduce with their parents or siblings. Guinea pigs and rabbits do, so I think cats and dogs do as well. They don't know any better, it is their natural instinct to reproduce with any of their kind.

If you are asking if a cat would have a litter from the father if it being a female the answer is of course yes. And so will a dog. When they come into heat a male does not care if it is his child or not. He only goes by the scent.

Yes. Animals do not have the same taboos and morals that people do, they go on instinct. They don't recognize familial relationships. Brothers and sisters will mate, fathers and daughters will mate, mothers and sons will mate.

yes they will, my neighbor's cat did that and their kittens turned out to have deformities (one eye, limp legs etc etc..) due to inbreeding.
