If they win, we won't have another chance to secure the border as by 2012 or 16, there will be so many illegals they will probably be legalized by them and then they will, of course, vote against this. Our 2 party system will become 1 party. The Democrats will rule.

To be honest though, the Republicans have hurt themselves. Not all, but a big minority have support illegal immigration as they are in the pocket of big business. Some have tried to pass "comprehensive" reform(Bush and McCain and Giuliani).

So Globalist neocons are in it for big business.

Progressive dems want to change the demagraphics.

So who are Americans to turn to in 2008? I think the only realistic choice would be Romney. Your opinions?

Ron Paul and Tancredo and Huckabee don't have a REALISTIC shot at winning the nomination. Only Giuliani, Romney, and McCain.

All the Arizona law does in confirm the federal law passed in 1996 where a local police officer stops someone for a different reason and the officer suspects the person may be in the USA illegally, that person would be brought in and put in front of a federal immigration official. After that the federal officer would deal with the issue as they do now. They would run the person's information through a computer to confirm whether they are legal or not. At that point it is up to the federal government because immigration is a federal matter. This works in the same way when a local officer suspects illegal drugs, the suspect may be turned over to federal officers. The Arizona justice system will deport no one as thay is a US federal responsibility and the federal government will decide each case.

It's amazing, wasn't it Hilery that said there is no difference between her and illegals, except they don't speak Englsh or talk funny and don't pat taxes, then she corrected and dropped the 'don't pay taxes. It's hard to say Romney did get elected in Kennedy's back yard, but how?Since Hunter has proved a fence will cut crime and illegals by 90% sad Bush will do othing. 1 in 7 that are caught are from a terror sponsoring country*. So it makes you wonder with the Patriot act ad letting the cows in. We'll see if paul or Thompson can make a difference, too bad McCain is leaning toward it. loooks like they will compromise and sellus out. Will check on Romney, he did some good work up there and has a " trophy wife. If not you may be right and the Americo is on the way and tha eight lane super drug highway and cheap labor. Can you say Adios? TAke care.

My opinion is that if it is between Romney, Guliani, McCain, Hillary, Obama and Edwards, it doesn't matter who you vote for. There would be little difference.

On the other hand, if the big candidates are humoring Ron Paul assuming he'll lose the primary and split the subsequent vote on an independant ticket, they just might be surprised at the result.

It is a long shot, but I think it is a POSSIBLE win, and my vote wouldn't matter if I voted for any of the others, anyhow, from what I can tell. So I'm leaning towards voting for Ron Paul.

Gee whiz, I might miss voting the difference between Guliani and Clinton Part II. I honestly think it is time to at least make that much sacrifice for my country. It isn't exactly sacrifice on par with rallying at the commons with a musket on a minute's notice, now is it?

And even if it is just a large protest vote, I think the Senators and House might worry.

And meanwhile, I will pay extra attention to the House and Senate races, myself.

That's the Democratic Party's dream: To legalize millions of people so that they can in turn vote for them. I don't even want to think about that possiblilty, we'll have nothing but Dems in office!

The Republicans probably just want to keep the illegals illegal cause thier a source of cheap labor and legalization will undermine that effort.

We need someone who will not fall to the calls of Big Business and who's determined to end the the illegal immigration problem by enforcing laws and secureing the border.

EDIT: Out of all the Presidential candidates, Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Duncan Hunter are the only ones I see who truly oppose illegal immigration. Check out their campaign sites.

Romney's just a pretty boy. He will do what ever big business wants him to do. Another George Bush.

How about some one with a back bone?

Ron Paul?

You are so incredibly correct.

However, Ron Paul or Tom Tancredo are the only ones who wont sell us out just like Vincente Bush has. And yet, neither of them has a chance.

It's the beginning of the end, my friend. All we can do is fight it tooth and nail.

I doubt there will be any "reform" or major changes to the status quo anytime soon. There is just too much disagreement within both parties over the issue.
