I haven't seen that , care to provide a link ? As for drilling in Alaska well thats not really an option right now and quite frankly shouldn't be . We still haven't tapped into the 61 percent of oil fields in Iraq and Russia is loaded with oil - noone has ever tapped !

There are many things we could do to dramatically cut our oil usage. We just won't do them and so we'll pay through the nose because our corporations will only keep catering to us spoiled brats and our macho demands. No profit in taking care for the future. There doesn't seem to be any urgency, only complaints about the cost of gasoline. We are our own worst enemies in this regard.
