Okay first of all, in regards to my last question, I ALREADY AM A FREAKING US CITIZEN. I had to do an assignment for school...shoulda been more specific. So whoever left the last snarky answer can just shut up.

NOW. Awhile back I deleted this program off my computer called SoundMax. It got rid of my sound. When I try to reinstal it it says that I don't have the drivers. I reinstalled the drivers, but I keep getting the same message. Anyone have this problem? If not, is there someone who's good with computers who can help me get my sound back?

Uninstall the Driver Software and do an INF Installation

Go through the uninstall procedure, if the driver software is currently installed.

Restart the computer.

Windows should discover the audio device and open a small window asking how you want to install the device. You'll need to select to install the device from a specific location.

Direct Windows to the location where you downloaded it.

You need to install the entire package, all at once.

Usually this is built into the mainboard, so go to the mainboard maker's website, and download the latest sound drivers for your mainboard, and install that. That'll fix it.

You see, I have an ASUS board that also uses this SoundMax thingie, and that's how I fixed it.

If you have a sound card in your PC (look inside your PC and see if there is a card with the sound ports that poke out the back) then look at it to see what the manufacturer is, then visit their site and download the driviers.

otherwise: find free audio software courtesy of yahoo Search :)
