Should I confront future mother in law that we all think that is most likely hiding a sickness like cancer. I know she is hiding it because her son is getting married in the next couple of months. She has been very sick lately and tells us that shes not telling us whats going on with her but she will most likely be ok. I feel horrible for my fiance because he doesnt have a father and he said im not going to have any parents if my mom dies. ps... she refuses to go to another doctor because she doesnt want to hear the news, she thinks its going to be horrible.

well if shes not telling you and she knows whats wrong most likely she doesn't want people to act different around her. its a hard thing to go through!!! but if she doesn't know for sure then you should talk her into going to see another doctor they have places like cancer treatment centers of America that can really help with all aspects of the disease. and you never know maybe they could cure her but if she refuses to get help the chances are she will pass on sooner than if she did. Good luck!

It is her right to refuse doctors, treatments, and not to tell anyone whats going on. She has her reasons. Maybe she has just decided that being around for what time she has left is more impt that putting herself through torture.

Just let her be. Dont confront her, she has already made her decision.

Well, if she doesn't want to tell then she doesn't want to tell. It's her right to keep it private. Respect her privacy and leave it alone and perhaps she'll tell you all at a later time. Meanwhile, offer her some help when she is sick.
