Why are they spending billions of dollars scooping up real estate?

Is a publishing company disguised as a religion, blinding the masses of footstep followers for financial gain?

Why So Much Construction When the End is Near?

Currently Jehovah’s Witnesses are attending summer conventions all over the world, and part of the scripted assembly program is focused on this “time of the end” we are living in. One play drama focuses on not worrying so much about getting a higher education because the “end is near.”

Why are so many buildings being erected when the numbers are down and Witnesses are apathetic about pressure to do more?

It could be an advance move to make sure their are enough funds to cover the ongoing litigation over child abuse scandals now mounting.

conundrum...I love you too...but could you please address the question at hand? I am farmiliar with the scriptures..Ibelieve that we are already in the great tribulation....But I have done years of research into proper theology, I would hope that you would do the same..the end MAY be near, and you could loose your salvation.

Wow. Great observation.

They like building things, don't they? (Beth Sarim, anyone?)

I don't see them building homes for the widows and the fatherless. (James 1:27, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.")

I suppose they figure that they will get to reside and work in their massive buildings when all of the goats are taken out of the way. Some of them are even picking out those big mansions on the hill to look to as a hope of where they will live while they enjoy "paradise earth".

It's quite silly really when you actually examine the scriptures--

We are to have a heavenly hope--not an earthly one--

Matthew 6:19-21, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in HEAVEN, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

I just think of all those poor people who sold their homes in a fear-induced state during 1975 when they were told the END WAS COMING.

Thank you for your sincere question. Do they believe that they are the only ones who will be saved? No. Millions that have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life. Many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before the "great tribulation," and they will gain salvation. Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. We look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully. He has committed judgment into Jesus' hands, not ours.—Matthew 7:1-5; 24:21; 25:31 (Jehovah's Witnesses-Who Are They brochure) The wt article you posted has been asked several times. In 9/1/1989 Watchtower p. 19, para. 7, it clearly says that "Only Jehovah's Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," AS A UNITED ORGANIZATION [NOT INDIVIDUALS] under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end. The one being spoken here as the one who have the only hope is the ORGANIZATION, not individuals. Regarding 10/01/93, it clearly says there that those that will perish are the ones that PERSIST in their course of practicing things which are considered wicked. Ignorance is often due to REFUSAL to know or study the Bible. If you will go house to house and share the Bible with others, not all are willing to talk to you or refuses to talk to you, thus choosing to be ignorant of what you want to share. In 02/01/68, again it is clear, if one (paren or children) fails to appreciate God's moral standards they will surely be accountable to God. What you posted is incomplete as to paragraph you forgot to include the last part, here is the complete one: "Parents and children who fail to gain the “mark on their foreheads,” that is, an adequate appreciation of God’s moral standard, are sure to suffer. Parents will be held accountable for their children, and children will suffer for the failure of their parents. The prophet overheard the instruction issued to the angelic executioners: “Do not feel any compassion. Old man, young man and virgin and little child and women you should kill off—to a ruination. . . . Their way I shall certainly bring upon their own head.”—Ezek. 9:4-6, 10." Of course JEhovah does not punish children for the sins of their parents (see Ezekiel 18:17), but if they will follow the same course, they will suffer the same consequences. That is the sense of what you posted, it does not in, any case, says that JWs are the only one who will be saved. I suggest read the whole issue of 02/01/68 of wt, the topic where you copied what you posted is "Parent's Moral Responsibility," it is followed by an article, in the same issue, titled "Youth's moral responsibility." Regarding 02/15/83, it is similar to 9/1/89 of WT. I hope I answered your questions. Good day! =)

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not teach that the end of this system of things is near in the since you may take it. All the prophecies of revelation have yet to be fulfilled so it could be hundreds even thousands of years away. No one but the father knows.
We a counseled to keep in mind the end is near so preaching work will not be done slowly. We need to be aware and live like the new world was coming tomorrow – yet realizing most likely it won’t. Note also the Watchtower does not claim to be inspired or comparable to the Bible. There are articles warning against making such comparisons.

And all the money is keep track of, we are show how it is being used – and are welcomed to work alongside the organizations’ main buildings once baptized. (As long as we are in a good standing and qualify.) Nothing is kept in secrecy.

Silencer .. The apostle Peter warned believers: “Beloved ones, . . . you know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: ‘Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.’” (2 Peter 3:1-4)

“Whenever it is that they are saying: ‘Peace and security!’ then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them.”—1 Thess. 5:3.

Both Verses are found In the Bible. I Doubts those Verses would mean its going to be fulfilled 1,000 years from now.

So what else is new?

Anyone remember the number of times the JWs claimed the world was going to end? And gave specific dates and times?

1914, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1972, 1975...

We're still here.

Have they possibly learned their lesson yet?

JW's don't believe that the earth will be destroyed.( Only sin and the unbelievers) They believe it will be made into paradise so collecting property now, seems like a good investment.

Edit: Education is not important because we will come into "all Knowledge" when the Savior returns. Property will stay with the individual. (JW taught this to me, this is not my belief)

they are all about making money

the idea that they are buying real estate for the future is bogus, here is why

first, when God sets up his kingdom, the land will belong to all equally

JW's are used and if they question the party line, they are turned out period

they believe a lie, they promote a cause that is unfounded in the bible and they will ultimately die in their sin

Breaking News: NEW END TIMES PROPHESIED
According to a Jehovah Witness Bible Student; as soon as the WTBS tell them to STOP going door to door preaching, the end is upon us. They will stop preaching and then "DESTRUCTION OF ALL EVIL PEOPLE" and they will be wiped off the face of the earth.
Are you wishing they don't stop knocking now?
