This add-a-carrot diet will not work if psychological problems, lack of exercise or addictive food allergies cause your overweight difficulties. It likely will be effective if your extra pounds are primarily the result of poor habits. You have nothing to lose, however, from the attempt at such a diet. An added benefit is that this diet can help to change your eating patterns in the direction of lower-fat, higher-fiber food items. Most overweight people have high-fat eating patterns that need changing no matter what else causes their overweight conditions

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Eating just carrots is not a good way to lose weight. There are many other vegetables that are low calorie that you can eat, so eating just carrots wouldn't be a good thing to do.
You will lack the nutrients your body needs and you will have no energy, and you probably won't even feel good enough to attend the wedding.
You should really just try to eat lots of salad, lean chicken, and lots of fruits and whole wheat products. Make sure to drink water.
This should help give you lots of energy for the wedding while also helping you slim down.
I hope this helps!

Cutting off limbs will help you lose weight fast. But I wouldn't suggest it. Same goes for highly restrictive diets. If you're not getting all the nutrients you need, some bad things can happen, not the least of which is bad breath and bad skin.
Exercise more. Cut all processed and refined foods. Eat only whole foods. Double or triple your water intake. Avoid carbonated things, salty things, and anything that makes you very gassy. (May as well do what you can to avoid bloating while you're at it.)
Good luck, and next time start sooner!

Skip the carrots, too high in sugars, do the South Beach diet or Atkins, eliminate ALL sugar and white flour, count your calories (for healthy weight loss they say not to go below 1200 a day...), start running everyday preferably twice a day for 30 minutes, and drink at least a gallon of water a day (probably more than that). Just think, if the wedding is only two weeks away you don't have to stick with it for that long, just really force yourself to do it for two weeks!! Good luck!

1. drink at least 1/2 your body weight in oz of water (100lbs = 50 oz)
2. Walk at least 30 to 40 min a day
3. Eat more then carrots (the other person is right - you'll turn orange!)
4. Eat a good protien - chicken
5. Get some good fiber as well
These things will help you loose weight and feel great - the water and exercise will really help.

Franny, concerned about your health.
Was this a wedding you knew about long in advance as you are a bridesmaid, or was it last minute bride rushing everyone to be part of the wedding.
If it's the prior one, you had ample time, but I would eat good things only elminiating, sodas, sweets, fillers like breads, bagels, and do NOT eat take out meals at all. Just eat right in the morning snacking at lunch and a small sized portion for dinner. By doing carrot juicing I guarantee all will come up orange, and that is not good for your health.

Do you realize that if you eat a diet of mostly carrots that you will turn orange? That might not look too good for a wedding.
Try exercising and eat 5 small sensible meals a day. Cut out the junk food and soda. That makes more sense than eating nothing but carrots.
