Why do people like the smell of their "brand" and not other people?

well after a stink encounter with the smells of my cousins bowel movements I almost barfed... but when I take my browns to the super bowl (#2) I can actually stand the smell and will even admit it doesnt bother me at all

Methinks we're all "conditioned" to our OWN smells- but not to others... -and maybe that's just as well... :)
