"Best chance," not necessarily that they could...

Conventional war... on their continent... China...
Conventional war... anywhere else... Russia...
Nuclear war... Nobody wins...everybody loses... chance of survival 0.000000000001. Well there's always a mathematical chance.

If it were today, That would have to be Russia. If one takes into account military, military industrial base, Navy, economic base(oil) and so on. It would definitely be Russia! Although, in a couple of generations China and India will be forces to be reckoned with. At this point they are not quite there yet. As far as any of our allies are concerned UK, France and so on. They would have no chance, do to the fact most of these nation have to small an active military and most of those active forces are ceremonial. They also have almost no Naval forces when compared to the US. Especially aircraft carriers. Peace!!! Love!!! Health!!! Harmony!!!

No single country has a chance in a conventional war. It would take several together. Thats why the Muslim supremacists are using the tactic that they are.

The Republicans. They are selling us out. Its getting to be like the North during Lincoln's presidency, with war profiteers selling defective equipment.

They destroy government agencies and hire American mercenaries at 5 times what our government pays it own soldiers. Of course they get the money from the taxpayers they are ripping off.

I think they figure if they can ruin the country first, no one will bother to attack us. They are unethical and propagandize other Americans to hate anyone who disagrees with them, calling them unpatriotic. A political civil war, like in Rwanda is what they are after. Set up rabid hit squads who will go act crazy, and seek to kill the evil "Liberals".

No one, we currently have the best trained, highest paid and most technologically advanced military in the world.

The only way another country could beat us is to buy us out!

If you are speaking of "all out" meaning nuclear, biologic and chemical warfare, the obvious answer is Russia. If you are speaking of conventional warfare, then the Chinese have the obvious advantage in terms of expendable bodies. They also have been testing anti satelite warfare techniques which would significantly impact on our use of high tech weapons.

Depends in what theatre. if u mean to invade the US it would take a massive coalition of countries. If u mean the US invading another country then it would be a different story as its easier to defend.
