I am Atheist. In my heart and mind I know for certain their are no gods, heavens or hells.

I am a moral person. Morality should not come from fear, but from humanity. If you are a Christian, then are you only a moral person so you won't go to your hell one day? Otherwise, would you be raping, stealing from, molesting, beating people all around you? Religion doesn't make people moral - ever see or hear about prisoners who are Christians? There are thousands of them.

I dont see the athiests uprising, do you?

Me personally? Yeah, I do what I think is right because I think it is right. Not because the Gods and Godesses I worship are gonna strike me down and punish me to a fiery place.

I think on a general basis, most people would still uphold their morals. Every major religion has the equivlant of the "golden rule" about doing to others what you would want done to you. Seeing as this holds true across religions and cultures i think its safe to assume that its ingrained into us somewhere. Wether the source of this morality is evolution, some god puting it in us, or just how humans are, its still there.

Yes, there's always the crazy phycos who wanna hurt and kill, but they're the abnormality. most people are nice, law abiding citizens.

LAW abiding citizen. That implies repercussions, sweet heart.

Even if there were no laws, I'd want to live in the happiest and safest world possible, as well as everyone else and the generations after us.

Don't have to worry about that now do we. Just because a person has good morals and ethics does not mean they are going to heaven

There is an unfounded assumption that Atheists are immoral people, which couldn't be more wrong. Yes I do stick my morals because I believe people have a right to live their lives.

I'm an atheist, and I'm a law abiding citizen. Even if there were no cops, and no legal system, I wouldn't run amok. Now when I was a teenager...

I DO know for certain.
I DO stick to my morals and ethics.

I have no need of an imaginary friend in the sky to control my life's decisions.

Well first of all, God does exist. Nother subject, not gona preach on that. On the larger scale, if there were no rules, morals or ethic we would be back to the caveman era. Do you even want to go there???
