How do you feel about Kahr pistols? I have been looking at the PM9, P9, and the PM45. This is mainly just for target plinking and fun stuff. The reason I like the smaller pistols is because I have smaller hands and it fits me better. I've already got a 9mm and kind of want something bigger than that. The one reason I don't want the PM45 is because I've heard it was bulky, unlike the PM9... Can you give me some feed back on these pistols? Any experience with recoil from the .45?

Kahr's are rock solid, highly recommended by the experts (it's the #1 recommended carry handgun at Gunsite) perfect in near every way pistols. They aren't pretty, but they go bang every time you pull the trigger and they hit where you aim.

I'm no great fan of the flat guns, but in my opinion, the best .45 ACP pistols are still the M-1911's and the SIG P-220.

The only centerfire semi-auto I still have is a Colt Officers' ACP. The single-stack Colts are big enough for comfort of us ham-handed individuals and small enough for smaller hands.

I know lots of folks who really like the various Kahr pistols, but they just don't interest me.

All I know about the Kahr handguns is what the pundits say. Apparently, the gun is a decent buy for the money.

I am a Taurus fan, and carry a Millennium 745 as a concealed carry gun. Solid gun, bit of an odd trigger but easy enough to get used to. As accurate a handgun as any other I own.

I've heard Kahrs are good but have never owned one. Unless you are shooting a very lightweight handgun in .45, the .45 acp doesn't have an appreciable amount of recoil. Try shooting the 10mm with full-house loads if you want recoil.

Best.

The best choice for your purpose & hand is the Colt Combat Commander in 45 acp.* Well balanced, comfortable to shoot, not bulky, excellent handgun.*

I always heard about the recoil from a .45 and was scared to death until I shot one. It is not bad at all. I guess it depends on what you are used to shooting.

Awesome pistols, pretty accurate too. My friend has one and has never had a problem out of it.

Junk, cheaply made garbage plain and simple. If you want a real .45 spend some money. " YOU get what you pay for!" I personally have 2 Kimbers, best 1911 in the game for the money. Yes others make good ones but you wait 1 year or longer and still dont shoot as well. Also look at Glock. Finest combat pistol made. But thats just me I'm bias. But been shooting along time so have some experience with this. Do not buy cheap throw aways unless thats your intention. Examples as follow: Ed Brown.. Look cool and shoot just ok at best. $1400+ and he shot better with my Kimber ($700) then he did with his own. Wilson eh just ok you pay for the name. Para... just abunch of hype, nothing special. Colt, again just paying for the name. So there is my 1 1/2 cents worth of opinion. Unless you have limp wrists .45 is very managable recoil.
